I was really lucky to get a space to run the 2022 London Marathon for the Institute of Cancer Research. My mum was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 so making sure I trained properly was super important to me; the cause is really close to my heart and I really want to do well. When I secured the place in April 2021, I hadn’t done much long-distance running and I wasn’t sure how to start the training. I sought after a coach to help with my training and JP was recommended to me. It was clear from the start that he had a lot of experience, he set me up on an 18-week plan and has incorporated a variety of exercises each week to help me get used to running long distances as well as exercises that will help to make me faster and more efficient. The marathon is this Sunday!!! I’m nervous but I’m also feel confident and excited about it thanks to JP’s training. Post marathon I’m still going to train with JP; he’s such a great coach not just for running but for cross fit and weights which I’ll be focusing on next. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending JP to anyone who is looking for a personal trainer
