Who am i?

My name is Patrick Lyon, and I’m the creator of Lyon Shred.

 

Growing up, I was stuck with a feeling that most of us will feel in life. The feeling that we call insecurity, particularly with my appearance. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror, and I wanted to change that. Beginning my journey at home, I became great at push-ups and sit-ups, but it wasn’t quite enough. My appearance didn’t change.

 

Over the coming years, I dedicated my time to learning. Eventually, I developed an understanding of fitness, mastering the balance between targeted exercise and nutrition to create a healthier me. I was able to use fitness to transform my body and ultimately, my confidence in myself.

I was a junior in college. With homework, commitments to friends, and the busy everyday of classes, life was hectic, yet I still chose to prioritize my fitness journey.  I wanted to go further and test myself, so I set my sights on Ninja Warrior.

 

After an initial rejection, I moved forward to compete in season 10 of the show. Truthfully, I didn’t do too well on the course; however, that wasn’t important. I set a goal, executed my plan and showed up in TOP physical condition. 

 

I loved the way I looked. The way I felt. The overall level of strength I had built. The entire thing was a larger-than-life experience for me, ultimately leading me to where I am today.

Fitness genuinely changed my life. Through my journey, I was able to go from being insecure in my body to being in the BEST shape of my life, something that has impacted every other area of my life positively.
